Vibration Testing
Vibration Set Up with Shaker
Location: Rutgers University Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering
The vibration setup allows for the testing of specimens at frequencies up to 5 kHz to determine material properties such as loss factor and Young’s modulus. The data collection is automated and collected simultaneously at two points of the mounted specimen. Materials that have been tested include epoxy, polymer matrix composites, and aluminum.
