The autoclave at AMSL allows for effective nano indentation testing with ultra-high precision movements and imaging. This allows the Hysitron to perform precise nano indentation tests, nano wear tests and Nano scratch tests. The Hysitron is also capable of automation allowing for multiple tests to be performed over several hours collecting multiple sets of useful data. Thus, providing AMSL with a valuable on demand testing chamber for nanoscale analysis.
