High-Speed Cameras

AMSL is equipped with two high-speed cameras for all documentation that moves faster than the human eye can perceive. These cameras are used to evaluate vibration in components, the shattering of samples, and the motions of our high-speed equipment, such as the SHPB. The cameras available at AMSL are a Photron FASTCAM SA3 and an Edgertronic system camera available for widespread use in all projects related to AMSL

• Max resolution: 1920x1080

Photron:

• Max FPS: 2000 (full resolution) - 120,000 (reduced resolution)
• Max resolution: 1024x1024
